Yesterday Facebook made another new move by releasing Facebook windows instant messenger.
Facebook messenger is a windows new trial application that lets user to use Facebook without being in Facebook webpage.
According the news, Facebook made this messenger available to everyone because of some Israeli website which unofficially released “Facebook window messenger download”.
After hearing this news i thought why not gives a chance to this Facebook new move. So, i downloaded this application through Facebook help centre and began digging this new software.
How to download Facebook windows instant messenger?
(1) Facebook windows messenger download from here: Messenger
(2) After downloading open setup file, messenger will automatically update (Internet necessary)
(3) After competing whole installation Facebook messenger ask you to login.
(4) when you click on login it drive you to Facebook homepage and where you have to enter your username and password. As, you log into your profile Messenger will automatically get log in.
Feature of new Facebook messenger
(1) chats and send message to your friends in Facebook.
(2) see latest update by your friends in ticker.
(3) you will get notification about what’s going on. Like if someone sends you notification it will show on right hand side of desktop.
(4) have fun with New Facebook chat emotions 2011.
Cons of Facebook messenger
(1) it’s only available for Windows 7.
(2) every time you click to see notification it will open browser and takes you to Facebook website.
(3) doesn’t support video call.
All this happen while testing it on Vista
(1) its ticker and chat box getting over lapped (Ticker contents showing over online available friends, its look quit messy).
(2) while chatting and doing any work messenger use to freeze and show (Not responding).
Note: if you are using Window 7 then this software will good for you other i will suggest you to have patience and wait for another Facebook messenger version update (it already mentioned that it’s a trial version).
